I can't escape the banjos! Goddamn I like them, and bluegrass covers of
Modest Mouse? My friends are sighing in dismay at how excited this got me. Isaac Brock is an amazing songwriter and the strength of those songs really shines when taken completely out of context. You'll barely recognise most of your favorite tracks on this album. Fair warning though, if you don't like grassroots/folk, and are a Modest Mouse purist this might not be your bag. There are also some minor liberties taken with the lyrics.My picks from the album:
