But I love the Kooks. I think it plays hard into my penchant for Brit rock (not at all the craze currently, but late 80's-early 90's tinny songsmithing complete with unhidden accents and agendas. Think "Parklife" by Blur and you've pretty much tapped into my favorite style of unapologetic apologies for British life. The Kooks don't dive full into that, but they aren't that far away. I picked up their iTunes EP of live tunes and it further cemented them in my mind. Again, I'm not sure why so much. Maybe because I don't own the G/B/Q record yet. (Oh Albarn, must you fuck around with EVERYONE? If so, please continue.)

  1. Anna says I've heard good and bad things about them. I have to investigate this. And TG,TB&TQ album is very background music, not my cup of tea.
