On deck from today's cd ripping chore is
godflesh's,
streetcleaner. I haven't heard it end to end in awhile but damn is it some earth shattering airline crashing low base noise. Weirdly, it actually make for some decent concentration music, since you are not really distracted by melody perse, but this backbone crushing monster, originally release in1989, has served as one of those pyramid albums that all grindcore metal lovers turn to or get turned on by first. Sure there are even darker horses these days on
earache label but this is one of those albums that leveled the playing field for dark metal. I would say if you are a fan of Ministry or Neurosis these guys are in the same pit of despair but caution you that there is evil inside so trespass with caution.
