While delicious, this doesn't touch Shuggie's version..the outro especially.

Agreed, it's a coffee & a Danish Saturday morning vibe vs. the sweaty-slapping late Friday night of the original. ;)
Agreed also that it is a great cover choice. Very ambitious to try to spin something new out of something that was such an original in the first place. I first heard the original on a compilation of rare soul back in the early 90's and its been blowing my mind ever since.
