So far, 29 brave souls have filled out lists for the MOG Best of 2007 So Far. That's awesome, and I'm thankful for those that have contributed so far. I'm a bit concerned that it won't be representative of all of MOG; to be honest, it's not even 10% of those that trust me. So hopefully you guys are still debating your lists. I will be collecting lists until Monday, July 16, at the link above.
And now, my choice for the #9 album of the first half of 2007:
This should not surprise anyone, as I did post about the album recently. While I would agree with those that have said that the music on the album isn't as imaginative as that on the debut, the lyrics on here prove that Eddie Argos is, in fact, the patron saint of all music lovers. I actually laughed out loud the first time I heard "Pump Up The Volume", and most of the songs at least make me giggle inside. So, seriously, who do we talk to to get Eddie his own MOG page?

Eek! I'm frightened that my choices may not be that representative of the MOG community, but seeing as there's a coupla hundred thousand folk signed up to this weird world of ours, it would be foolish to even attempt to appease the masses.
To that end, and off the top of my head, these are the records that I've found myself playing incessantly. As someone who gets payed to listen to records, a lot of my time is spent giving a spin to stuff that encroaches on my time more than I'd like it to.
