EMCD at work - Snowden

Posted almost 5 years ago
*Anti-Anti*I had not heard of Snowden until Jox and I ran the MOG Best of 2006 list, when someone recommended their album Anti-Anti. I had still not heard them, though, when I went to see them open for Forward Russia ("review here":http://mog.com/Dale/blog_post/31830), but I'm sure glad I did go see them; they've become one of my favorite bands.Their sound is built upon a rock-solid rhythm section, led by bassist (and my current artist crush) Corinne Lee. The guitars fill in with noisy rhythmic fills and delicate leads. Singer Jordan Jeffares' vocals have a wonderful droning quality, and just a hint of Southern twang to them, as befits their Atlanta heritage.*Like Bullets*Dig in, everyone!

  6. darmuzz says Oi! Had overlooked Snowden, maybe had them mixed up with Snow Patrol, LOL. Very coldwave-sounding...also I bet Interpol fans would like them. This is the best concept video I've seen in ages...clever, and disturbing.
