Another late Saturday night, another bout of the work. I don't remember the last Saturday night I had completely free, no commitments work-wise at all. I hear they're nice, and I fully intend to enjoy one someday.
Anyway, since I'm here, enjoy this fairly faithful cover of the Smiths nugget from Detroit dreamers Ether Aura.

How'd you dig this one up, Dale? Ether Aura? Completely unknown to me. The lesson: You truly can't be up on all of it, no matter how hard you try. At least, MOGgers offer these sorts of hors d'oeuvres to taste - and perhaps whet the appetite...
Right with you on the work thing, Dale. I did manage to have yesterday off, but I've got to dig in this afternoon. Bad times in my business - well, not my business, but the one that has been sending me paychecks lately - mean not so much that my job is in jeopardy (though I suspect there aren't many safe places nowadays), but that we've got to do a lot more than we did before. And, of course, with no accompanying increase in resources. We are all in for some tight times, I fear.
Ohhh...i love me a good Smiths cover...and this is a very very good one. Some day, I want a whole mix of Smiths covers. This is one would be on it.
Get some rest, sweetie.
Love this --- so perfect for a Sunday at my desk at home.
This is very pretty.
I guess I am the exact opposite Dale, Saturdays are the one day out of the week I have nothing to worry about. Cheers either way
beautiful, stark and stunning. i've always loved this song, and it is a different feel to this.
i hope you get those saturdays, the way they are "meant to be", one day soon.
Mike, I found this album on a blog site and gave it a spin. Love in each dreamy line. This is why we rely on each other here.
Bill, I agree, everyplace is about doing more with less. The good ones keep getting loads thrown on them. It's our lot for being dependable. :/
Amber, that sounds like a challenge. I do have a few Smiths covers laying around. Muwahahaha
Tamara, it did go pretty well at my desk at home last night.
The singer does have a very lovely voice, doesn't she Andi?
Kevin, in that way you're lucky. The one day of the week I'm not dealing with work, I'm dealing with my church responsibilities. That's why I treasured my free Saturdays so. That, and college football. ;)
Lucy, stark's a great word for this song, in this incarnation and the original as well.
Dale, my wife refers to this syndrome as the curse of competence....
