Because I'm terrible at waiting ...

Posted 2 months ago

... and as I've already discussed, I love Halloween, I hereby present my third annual Halloween mix. Now with easy distribution!

Now I take pride in my Halloween mixes, but I think that hving to not repeat myself has forced me to get a bit deeper from the creeps and chills this time, and the mix shines as a result.

  4. Fields Of The Nephilim - Preacher Man [Contaminated Mix]

I wonder if that Exploding Boy track is on the ST of the movie of the same name? A little investigation is called for here. I'll have my people contact your people, heh.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! I've been sitting on this mix for almost two weeks, and it's been keeping my nerves on edge the whole time. OK, not really.

Kevin, we'll probably play this in the car while going to the trick-or-treating haunts.

August, I don't think it was. The album by The Exploding Boy just came out this year. I do, however, demand that it find a place on the soundtrack for the American remake (which had better be good, darn it!)

No, it definitely is not on the film ST, I looked last night at the dvd credits. But I bet the song was inspired by the film since it came out last year and both are Swedish.

Cody: Make it so, let me get my CV together. :)

August: I don't doubt it, all the more reason to get it on the ST for the American remake. I hd searched YouTube hoping to find snippets from the movie using that song as a soundtrack, nd was surprised and disappointed that no one has put one together.

oh yay! it's really, really halloween. Dale, as much as i always love your mixes, i think you outdid yourself with this one. lotsa stuff to add to my must-check-out's, plus the inclusion of Skinny Puppy, MBM, Godflesh (and yes, X-Mal) works like severed fingers on piano keys. :D

Like I've said, this was a good year for the dark stuff (IMHO, it's been a good music year period), but I had to work hard not make the playlist a paean to DiscError Recordings.

Severed fingers on piano keys ... you sure know how to flatter a body. *blushing*

I promised myself that I'd wait till tomorrow.... BUT I CAN'T. Being terrible at waiting runs in the family, I guess.

Dale you have an aptitude for finding the ideal music to go with various events... and Halloween is one of those cases where you really erm, shine. Thank you so much for this creeptastic mix. You are the king of Halloween (sorry, Jack Skellington)!
