OK, so actually there are much less than 120 days until Coachella, but it gives me a pretense to introduce to you a band that will be playing Saturday, 120 Days.From allmusic:Norwegian teenaged friends Jonas Dahl, Arne Kvalvik, Kjetil Ovesen, and Ådne Meisfjord originally formed 120 Days under the guise of "Beautiful People" in the autumn of 2001. Relocating to Oslo, the group developed their sound and performed extensively throughout the country, releasing two EPs on the Public Demand imprint in the process. After several high-profile gigs such as the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the U.K. and the Sonar Festival in Spain, the group signed with Norway's Smalltown Supersound but impressed the ear of New York's Vice Records.Here's the video for their single "C-Muzik" from their debut album, which was released October 2006.Their presence at Coachella bodes well for new material. If it continues to build upon the strange juxtaposition of poppy vocals and dark, driving atmosphere of the debut, I think we're all in for a lovely treat here in the near future.
