WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

One of these days

Posted about 1 year ago
I will be able to move on, you know, listen to more music. Maybe even give this album a rest for a few days. That day is not today._When I say I'm feeling blue__You just smile and say "Me too."_

_swoon_

I haven't felt this kind of obsessive love for an album since Mew. That's right, I said it. Run, Ashley, run!

  1. 1234chainsaw says I've been seriously overworked with faculty recruitment. I haven't even had time to write a review of the A Place To Bury Strangers/Film School concert. This post brought a smile to my face, though. It is an addictive record, eh? A good place to tread water, so to speak.

  2. Dale says Yeah, I hope you're real proud of yourself, you rotten EMCD. :D

  3. SA says Sounds good. I already said it in that thread that I would have to check the whole album to judge it, and this gave me more incentive to indeed do so. ;) Not a bad pet band to have. :P

  4. Marigold says Pekka has really been loading us up as of late. I can't keep up with all the stuff he is throwing out. I am still spinning the APTBS and Skywave and have not had as much time with Ceremony. (yet)

  5. Mike the Knife says I think that, as a Joy Division/New Order devotee, I was predisposed to liking Ceremony. And I have not been disappointed with any track I've heard. I'm with you on this one, Dale.

  6. Lizziegreeneyes says I think it's one of the grander things that a band can do for us... create a blindersobsession that blacks out anything that isn't WHAT YOU MUST HEAR RIGHT NOW :) (I do that with Duncan Sheik a lot, lately though, it's been Editors getting the major play)

  7. Dale says He sure has been hooking us up, Mike. Between these three bands, hardly anything else much fits in. I hear you too, Mike. Having them named after a favorite JD/NO song is just begging me to be addicted. Insidious, really. Last June I was on a similar streak with Editors and Art Brut, Lizzie. I had both albums on one CD, and listened to it over and over in the car.

  8. Anna says It's not a coincidence that when I first heard their name, New Order's song was the first thing that came to mind. Music karma. And we are now getting doubly EMCD-ed...I can't hold up any longer...not that I want to ;)

  10. chucky says Heh. I'm reading posts backwards right now and already wrote the name of this band to check out later on the basis of the picture in your top 10 of the second half of 2007 post. Now, I get here and find out I was supposed to run. Oh noes :)
