I need my friend

Guess what guys? I finally got a new job!

April Fools. I just got another "we found someone with more experience". :(

I'm gonna need some time with my friend this week. You know who I'm talking about; the same friend who helps me through times of bitterness and frustration, bringing me down slowly so I don't take it out on everyone else. It's the same friend that is there to give me a slap on the back when things do go well, or dry my eyes when I feel hurt.

I'd say music is my best friend, but that's not true. Melissa gets the nod, but it's close, mostly because my relationship with music has existed much longer.

So, tonight the headphones are on tight, and I'm taking a little "me time" with a recent discovery which I've been loving for the past week. And looking through job boards. Again. Bleech.

Coachella can't possibly come fast enough.

It'll happen when you least expect it, that's the way I always look at it. just keep plugging away. (and bopping away! good song, bad name)

Just think of it as practicing for retirement.

Thanks for the post.  No doubt my friend, it sucks.  I'm right there with you.  I'm not sure if and when it will get better, but find your friends - - the real ones - - and hold them close.  Chin up.

Awww man, sorry to hear it Dale! Just stop looking for a new job, then you won't have this problem @;P. Coachella speed indeed. Great rockin' song.

Hey, something will come up on your way to make you go so relieved and happy. Then you will think "good thing they found someone with more experience that day". And it might happen anytime. Be positive.

In the mean time, I literally felt awake to the day as Devotion Implosion pumped out the speakers here. I needed this. Cheers for that.

Hey brother. They don't know what they're missing.

Excellent song. It sucked me in.

I think you will also like The new Horrors.

Hey, that's different. I get "we found someone with LESS experience (i.e. young and cheap). Or maybe it's my hair.

With that kind of hair, you look more like Hipster Spice than ever before :)

Good morning all. Never fear, I'm back to being my (mostly) chipper self. The new Great Northern album is soothing out the remaining kinks in my psyche. Aaaah.

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm sure something good will happen, I'm just not patient about it. Oh well, back to the job boards.

Two weeks until California and MOGgers aplenty. I can't wait.

Too bad about the job Dale, I'm sure something good will come along for you, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I'm sure Coachella will be a welcome distraction, or welcome regardless of what is going on. ;)

I saw the news of a new Mary Onettes EP this week on their MySpace, and I am so excited! Want it NOW!!!

Ilay, I hope the same for you, even more so because I do still have a job, albeit one that eats away at my sanity daily.

nice track, Dale, I can see how it would definitely get stuck in heavy rotation.

and here's sending out positive thoughts and vibrations to both you and Ilay in your quest for a job that will not eat away at your sanity like some deranged capitalist earwig.
