WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Oh boy, a concert!

Posted over 3 years ago
Those who have read my post have often heard me lament the barren wasteland that is the concert situation here in the middle of fly-over country. However, an oasis of culture beckons: Lawrence, KS, home of the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk) and home to a couple of clubs that put on some good shows. Mock not, ye San Franciscans and New Yorkers, we have to work hard for our culture and good shows around here. In my case it's a 3-hour drive one way. I've not yet been able to talk myself into it, but by golly, I think I may have found the show to get me in the car and out to Lawrence:Hopefully, nothing will happen to mess it up. I've even checked the schedule, and there are no activities to interfere. It's lock and load. WHEEEE! I haven't been to any concert in over two years. I cannot even wait!

  4. QueenofHell says I just bought tickets to a gig - I didn't buy Kasabian tickets though - because their album has been given a bad write up here. I'm going to see Marianne Faithfull in a teeny little venue instead - just before Christmas - so it'll be all Christmassy. Woo. I love winter - it's Autumn here already.

  7. Dale says Dang, 7 hrs from Durango to Denver? I didn't realize it was that far. Anna, with teh sheer volume of concerts you've seen, it's about time I got to see them first. Don't worry, I'm sure Kasabian will make the trip to Greece later this year. QoH, nice to hear from you again!

  8. Anna says True, true,no Franz feelings. I'll let it all go if you give me the lo-down with pics,set-list&review. If they make it here later this year,I really hope I won't see them (that would mean that I would have made it to the States). Good morning there Dale!

  9. Dale says Good morning Anna! Good luck with the pics, as I have no camera, but I will be sure to provide the rest. Now I'm excited to find out who's opening, and if I can manage to find anyone who's interested in going along.
