That's some pretty synth-rock up there. I can't say that that kind of music is a my cup of tea but what you've about its euphoric quality is true with me. I feel sort of light and blithe after listening to it.
You cannot not like a music which does you good.
Dale says
Cheers Keith, I know it's not yr favorite type of music, but glad you dug anyway.
Bah, I don't know what you see in me, Chris! ;)
Sweets to the sweet, sister Lizzie. :)
Thanks Mike, and they're from Portland, and I'm sure they play San Fran quite a bit.

Nice selection. It apeals to all of my musical needs. I hope it appeals to others worldly woes.
Things are looking up in my minor to other peoples problems issue. I got my new HD and should have it in my computer soon. I will be back in my basement hole as opposed to my wifes computer which she does not enjoy. Things are looking up!
Dale says
Mike, it's good to hear that the HD was the issue; could have been worse. Any word on recovering the data from the failed HD? You'd prolly like the whole High Violets album, the rest is quite a bit more dreamy.
Oh please Kevin, this old thing? Bah.

great, heartfelt post. lovely tune. i am hearing a dreampop Velvet Underground with Nico, or Debbie Harry, or Justine Frischmann on her lazy days.
Dale says
Oh, well spotted of both of you to pick up Debbie Harry from the vocals. I got more of a Harriet Wheeler from the Sundays, but they're both very similar.

Definitely a summery feel there, which doesn't really mesh when I look out the window, but that's okay. :) I like it a lot; could be paired with The Delays 'Faded Seaside Glamour'.
Dale says
Oh stop Sunshine! :-$
Bree! *SQUEE!* Welcome back!
No, I guess it might not fit the season (it's still sunny, but cool here in Kansas). You know, I've not delved into that Delays album beyond seeing "Nearer Than Heaven" on MTV2; should I explore further?
Dale says
Oh yay, a promotion! Do I get a raise, or just more responsibility? Because if it's the latter, that's how my employer handles promotion. Boo, hiss! I'm kidding, who would MOG for money anyway? ;)
jenny says
Nice one, Dale. I think the High Violets bass player used to be on MOG.
I had one of their earlier CDs for review at Splendid maybe five years ago, and it was such a wonderful surprise. Really good stuff...and look how many people you turned on to it! (61 plays, wow, I'm always happy when I get more than one.)
Keep up the good work.
jenny

He was, Jenny? Cool! I remember that A Shoreline Dream used to be on here, which makes me sad as I've finally gotten a chance to listen to them; they're really good as well. I so need to check out their debut, it was well reviewed on allmusic. But please, any song plays I get have nada to do with writing prowess, or you'd be getting loads of hits.
OK, I will allow this Anna, but don't hurt their check-writing arms. Otherwise, do what you've got to do. (Wait, am I encouraging your megalomania?)

Thanks for the kind comments Dale. This page has been forwarded on to the rest of the band, and I know they will feel the same way as me!
