Immortal Technique In Santa Cruz

I just saw Immortal Technique perform in Santa Cruz, CA. It truly was an amazing experience. Even my Phish-loving wife thought the show was incredible simply because of Technique's commentary. Personally, I have been a fan since Revolutionary Vol. 1 came out. I have a question though... Do the upper-middle class white kids that were huffing shit out vials and popping pills really get it? These were the same kids that repeatedly dumped booze all over me and tried to apologize in unintelligible blabber. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good cocktail every once in a while, but I think the message was lost on much of the audience that was there. Do people only see a show/concert as a reason to get fucked up and have a "good time"?"When ignorance reigns, life is lost!"... Yeah, I know that's not an Immortal Technique quote, but it fits.
