CBGB rock club owner Hilly Kristal, seen at his club in New York in this file photo of Sept. 26, 2006, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at the age of 75. Kristal, whose dank Bowery rock club served as the birthplace of the punk rock movement and a launching pad for bands like the Ramones, Blondie and the Talking Heads, died after a battle with lung cancer, his son said.

Blessed be. Let this be a lesson, kids - keep on moving. Once you stop doing, the body sees it as its time. Thanks for the heads up, though this is sad news indeed.
What a bummer. I guess that means no CBGB Vegas..... or maybe his son will open it.
Damn. Definitely an end of an era. Great great man.
recently,i was lucky enough to record these guys, in their home, (in the kitchen actually)... Ben & his family were forced to flee the Congo 6 years ago & now have refugee status in England... the whole thing is being filmed by the BBC, for a documentary about people living in exile, due to be shown sometime next year... enjoy...

Uhhh, interesting. Definitely not some of their better work I'd say.
Sounds like something from well after Loveless. I remember hearing the rumors that Kevin and Colm were getting heavily influenced by jungle, and drum 'n' bass. But for Pete's sake, this isn't helping me get over my low-level fixation on Bilinda Butcher any!
The beat does nothing for me..
