WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Barry Harris - "I Didn't Know What Time It Was" solo piano

Posted about 1 year ago
Barry Harris is one of the great bebop pianists who came out of Detroit in the 1950s. Hank Jones and Tommy Flanagan were two others. He taught many of the musicians who came through there, and runs workshops today in New York City for those who are learning to play jazz. He's performing "I Didn't Know What Time It Was", a tune that one of Barry's heroes, Charlie Parker, played frequently.
