Djavan is one of Brazil's best known singers and song writers. He accompanies himself with acoustic guitar as he sings his song "Doidice" The title translated means "Madness".

DLuebbert says This is an untypical voice for Djavan. Usually he's singing in front of a band, with lots of instrumental accompaniment. Early on, he admired the Beatles a lot. What I most like about him is that he changes rhythm fluently as he sings. To me it sounds like he thinks of his voice as a percussion instrument. He also will do vocal improvisations, like jazz scat singing, during interludes in the middle of songs, while he's doing the introduction and as he leaves songs. I think the man is a very admirable musician.
