The Epochs

If you went to, read about, or were anywhere near the CMJ Festival last week, you probably feel that you're totally up to speed on all that is broadly defined as "indie rock." But before you pat yourself on the back for knowing who Dragons of Zynth are, you should consider the fact there are a few bands that didn't make it into the myopic view of the blogosphere. While everyone was all, "Cool Kids this" and "No Age that" or "LCD Sound System Arcade Fire Radiohead ohmygod!" plenty of awesome bands showed up and quietly did their thing.One such band is The Epochs. Hailing from Brooklyn and fronted by two golden throated brothers, The Epochs craft a blend of indie soul and electro-rock that is slick and intelligent. They get a lot of love on KEXP and Amie Street, but the press seems to ignore them. Such an injustice it is! But you can right this wrong. Have a listen to the track "Mouths To Feed."
