this is the most tortured album i've ever heard. I mean his last album was full of the melancholy heartbreak stuff, but this album takes somber wide-eyed loverboy stuff and twists it into something so dark and angered and derangingly sad that it's sorta the same but totally not. the album is so heartbreaking to listen to, and yet i can't stop listening to it. it's kinda like a nick drake record...
