Another dream context song, this one from very early on. My memory is that I had this dream about 3-4 years old, but something tells me that I might have had it at about 17, dreaming that I had it at 3 years old. As usual, I have no idea what the connection between the song and the dream is, it just is.I'm not even going to write the dream down, it's just a dream. It involves another large, spooky 19th century house and just might've came about because I spent most of my life in a very large, very spooky Victorian house. But this song gives me chills every time. I think it's the line "Jody, she's as pretty/as your mother used to be." I first heard this on Mercury Rev's EP that came with their album Deserter's Songs, and then I tracked down the original version by Jacobites and fell in L-O-V-E Love with Nikki Sudden's Keith Richards meets Bob Dylan via Creation Records aesthetic.I couldn't decide which version to post, so I'm posting both.
