...I was looking for a video for 808 State's "Moses" and I stumbled on this jam from an EP that dropped back in the 90s instead...the euro mix of a pretty phat track that's right in the pocket when you're editing bits 'n bytes...keep your hands away from the stylus, you tosser...just listen...it's a jam...

...a few things for those who read my proper blog on the regs: if you've been reading me lately, you'd know that my MacBook's been on the fritz and I took it in to the AppleStore where it is now being turned B.A.D...or bigger and deffer, as LL Cool J woulda put it back in the day...I've grown so used to that thing that it's been kind of weird sliding back into my old rhythms, like going to the magazine stand down the street and copping that week's New Yorker and actually sitting down to read it cover to cover with a couple of ciggies and double espressos...for years that was a part of my Saturday regiment and it was refreshing to return to this weekend...which also happens to be when I finally got my coat pulled about Europe's Stereo Total and their new LP Paris-Berlin...check out this cut...
...there's a grip of good sound out there that gets drowned out by the white noise of mediocre scheiße that the suits try to soft sell/shovel into the collective earholes of the record-buying public like we're being fattened up for foi gras...but there's more than one way to cook a goose ...CONTINUED...

Interesting selection as always Crash. I haven't been reading your proper blog (or any other for that matter because of slamming workload lately).
I feel like I need to catch up with the Mogosphere. I can't believe it is already Oct 1!
Can't wait to audition these guys for the first "work day out." And the Philly Free Library system just got its free wi-fi going on...
...I love an enemble that doesn't take itself too seriously but can actually play their fucking instruments, make their ideas felt, get shit done-- and still aren't afraid to experiment which stokes the flames of the jazz-lover in me too-- I likes it all, son...here's another vid from the new album called "Plastic"...kinda Ramones...kinda Bomb the Twist...kinda "Orgiastic"...kinda nice...

Odd. Was thinking about Twain a few days ago. Probably because I was with four genuine South American shamans on the deck of the Mark Twain steamboat in Disneyland at the time. Really. Strange story. Remind me to tell you when we have a moment.
Crash, I just came out of that rabbit hole you invited me into and I'd go again if you point the way. Strange times doeasn't even fit the way things are/are going. Biden's call is spot on. What became renamed Iraq was, I believe, before the British tried to colonize and had some white dude make a map, a three-ringed (was originally gonna say "tiered) organisation, whom although they didn't always see eye to eye at least functioned. Have you ever read Wilhelm Reich's "The Mass Psychology Of Fascism"? An apt study for the way our politics are going. When they, the FDA, arrested him, they burned his books. Seriously
Not far from that now.
Hey Mike, I'd like to hear about the shaman's trip, too, please.

These guys slayed me back in the day. "Pacific" was a watershed mix-and-match electro-techno-dance track on my playlist every week for a couple of years.
make me feel like dancin' :)
