(this was written yesterday when Shloopy putsched...it applied then, and because of the heat, still does)...I've been getting in touch with my inner cave man while sitting in the stultifying heat that's been hovering over town like a veil of hostility...it's brutal, my A.C.'s non existent, so I've been working out of library and at cafes but today, its so fucking hot, that I don't feel like moving...so I laid in bed for a couple of hours listening to ethereal sounds like the ones found on the Greek electro-composer Vangelis' Themes album while reading The Mammoth Hunters by Jean M. Auel...tunes like "Chung Kuo" totally capture the mood...continued on Chronicles of Ridicule...

Wasn't this track also on the Cosmos soundtrack? It is indeed perfect for the read you described at the Chronicle. I used to love synching such things. Walter Carlos has a similar effect. Maybe it's just the moog. Sorry to respond so late. As usual, dail up is no friend to the mog player, so had to "fix" the laptop. Hope the heat has dissipated somewhat. Thanks again.
