Psychologically Overcast - (with Busta Rhymes)

...I spoke on this band the other day and it reminded me of a post I'd thought of a while back but never punched up, so, I'll remedy that right now with a little funk rock action...check this Fishbone LP that dropped right around the time I'd moved from Atlanta to LA...the Bone, however, were going in the other direction as the went to Atlanta to work with the producer Dallas Austin on their LP Chim Chim's Badass Revenge and is one of their best, latter day albums that came a day late and a dollar short (in the years following their Lollapalooza-era heyday, it seemed like these guys couldn't get arrested...a lot of the stuff on this LP are revisions of earlier jams I'd heard before like "Alcoholic" and "Beer Gut" but there were some fresh jams on it too, so if you see it, pick it up and check "In the Cube" and "Love...Hate" (both ska joints), "Riot" which encapsulates the mindset of the LA Riots that was still fresh on the minds of Angelenos when I got here and the closer "Nutmeg" which I thought was their coldest cut in a while when I first heard it (still one of my top 10 Fishbone originals)...on "Psychologically Overcast", the group goes in a newer direction by collaborating with the pre "Hands Where My Eyes Can See" rapper Busta Rhymes who swings a pretty deck cipher on the tune's last verse...yo...yo-yo, diggy, diggy, yo-yo-yo...
