A Little Monday Morning Attitude Adjustment

Posted over 2 years ago
Hey Mog, what's new? You lookin' California but feelin' Minnesota like yours truly? Well here's some attitude adjustment to stir into your coffee...it's the first jam I ever heard Fishbone play live...they were as tight on stage as they were on record which made it easy to see why (in their original configuration) they were called the baddest live band in the world... I'm just glad "*I got to see them in their prime*":http://mog.com/CrashPryor/blog_post/27861

  7. Dale says Chul, no more talkie till the death doc is online ... GO NOW! I got to see Fishbone at Lollapalooza 3, by which time their guitarist had bailed, and they had turned into a metal band. _sigh_

  12. CrashPryor says @Jshua: right ON the barrier...the crowd were pushing on us like a rugby scrum...I just got a vision of you in your leather, head down pushing back on the boneheads behind us... @etc: I'd say still say Minnesota...it does just roll off the tongue...the "Psychotic Friends Nuttwerx"...Chim Chim's Bad Ass Revenge was another one of their under-appreciated LPs...

  14. etcvisitor says a friend of mine named his cat chim chim because he loved that album so much... it doesnt hurt that the cartoon character was pretty awesome too, but i know this guy was a big fishbone fan so im not going to accept him telling me it isnt a reference to that album.

  17. CrashPryor says @Hatshepsut: nice... @Mike: solid...and Reality was the perfect textural mixture of everything they'd cut from their debut up to Truth and Soul...we checked that joint from every angle when it dropped...

  18. TBoom says Its always good to hear a fishbone track. I regret that I never got to see them in their prime -- I got locked out of couple of sold out shows in the late 80's, early 90's period.
