After a week of running around, I've been catching up on the sitting down stuff that I got yelled at for trying to do back then (which was understandable, considering the circumstances)...I've found myself listening to the 13th Floor Elevators a lot today and, if you're into 60s-era guitar rock (with a little jug-band action thrown in as a garnish) then you'd be all over The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators..."*I'd mentioned them before*":http://mog.com/CrashPryor/blog_post/39328 but failed to write up anything on their stuff as I really do think this is a band that should get a little more dap than they've gotten...In addition to the track in the player, other tunes to check are "Splash 1", "Reverberation (Doubt)" and "Fire Engine"...don't miss 'em, this time...
