...I've been digging around for a lot of old stuff lately...I was jonesin' for some Ryuichi Sakamoto and got my thirst slaked with a little help from Micki and Sugarbaby (I got more RS and YMO than I know what to do with now, which ain't a bad thing)...I'd like to thank them both on the MOG tip for their due diligence and hookin' me up...for the past two days, I've been checking the Revolver LP while working as it holds one of my favorite Beatles slices, "Tomorrow Never Knows/ Within Without You" which speaks both lyrically and rhythmically to what I feel when I get a hold of "that cut that I know is out there but can't find"-- if you're on here, you know the feeling...thanks again, ladies...Lay down all thought and surrender to the vid...it is shining:

I can no longer view your page from my work computer. I can still go to everyone else's pages (as far as I know), but _not_ yours. Weird.… Fortunately, if I go to MOG-O-SPHERE I can still comment on your posts. Anyway, I surrendered and I enjoyed the video. This was good for my work wind-down as 5 o’clock nears. I’ve been getting into the Beatles lately in my downtime. Didn’t have much of a taste for them, but my boyfriend started playing them and I’ve found myself wanting to listen to them more and more. Hope all is well over there in California. Peace.

I like the demo version on Anthology 2, too. Have you heard the mono version of this album? Much fuller sound, plus the monos were mixed with the lads. (TMI: Martin solo mastered the stereo releases, while the group as a whole mixed t'other.)
Sometimes those album/artist kicks can be really good.

If I ain't mistaken, this vid version is to the mash-up of those two tracks as recently executed by George Martin for Cirque de Soleil's "Love" show (and eponymous album). Tres cool.

Total props to the director of this vid. With my film school hat on, I can tell you that the animation that starts up around 00:40 is based on the work of John Whitney, a pioneering computer animator. The kick being that the reference is to work made around 1966/67 - the same time as the music was recorded. A subtle homage and tres cool.
