Posted over 2 years ago
...well, I'm "going berzerk--all right!"...getting ready to go out and buy a new MacBook but I hate shopping...*also,* I've been getting tips from a "MacHead" homegirl from long distance re: what's good for me and what I do...fuggit, I think I'll pump a little Black Flag, grab an oat soda and do all of this...tomorrow...when my head's on my shoulders...

  4. CrashPryor says good lookin' (out), son...I'll check it out and compare the copious notes I've been taking down..as a PC guy, I'm gettin' technologically slapped around by said home-biscuit...that shite's like the Beatles and the Stones in the, ahem, computer world...

  5. Rawkkiddoh says Well its worth anything, I had a Mac to use from school for 2 years. When I left teaching, I had to return it and miss it almost everyday. While the PC I have now is nice, everything was that much easier on my Mac. Especially art related items like dealing with photos, music, and everything else. If I had to chose between the two, I would go with the Mac again. Went with the PC because it was given to me as a gift for helping someone move, and they were leaving for France. He gave me his old, but new, computer and as luck would have it bought an ibook

  6. CrashPryor says "While the PC I have now is nice, everything was that much easier on my Mac...I would go with the Mac again."...if I told her this, which I probably won't, I'd never hear the end of that statement...

  8. Wade says Awesome. I love the Henry Miller quote Henry pulls out at the beginning. Very cool. I remember seeing Black Flag circa 1981 in Palm Springs when I was in middle school. Henry had just joined up. they blew me away. After watching this well- he really couldn't sing all too well could he? but early punk rock wasn't about that. Whiskeytown has a cover of this, and Ryan Adams can carry a tune better....

  9. wassonii says Perhaps an Oatie Stout:) Not a Mac cat at present, but holler when you decide. Nothing like a consumer review.

  10. CrashPryor says ...well, I use 'em at work (I use both there) but I never used a Mac on the personal tip...I'm fighting it but everyone's saying once you go Mac...blahblahblah..."we'll see," said the blind man...

  11. ScottyB says If your need for a new computer isn't completely urgent, you may want to wait until April when Apple releases their new OS - I think they'll also be introducing a new processor configuration...Gives you a great excuse to avoid shopping... "You can get a sneak preview of Leopard (OSX V. 10.5) here":http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/ But I wholeheartedly recommend the Mac - I have to use PCs at the office and I absolutely abhor them...

  12. mickimicki says IMNSHO: Get a Mac. Scotty might be right though... if Leopard ships in April... you might want to wait 'til April.

  13. SamTheButcher says We don't know when Leopard will ship, Steve-o said "Spring". Many people are thinking maybe at the Developer's conference in June. Crash, man, I used to work for the Mothership in a technical repair technician sorta way. We were called "Mac Geniuses" in the store. I don't tell people that because they laugh when I tell 'em that. My point however, is that if you have any questions, mog-mail me or you can send mail to my nickname at gmail dot com. The other thing I had to say was that Black Flag vid was cool. Rollins has always been the man, has he not? Spandex little shorts or not. :) I'm sure he opened a lot of kids' minds back in the day. Again, though, I ask the question - are there bands doing that today? (I think this sort of answers my question in your journal previously - that there was an effect that these bands had that's probably imperceptible - the kids probably don't even remember who or how their minds got expanded, but they just were.) Oh, and that Jennifer Finch piece was*amazing*. Little tiny Flea in those pictures...what a scene, man.
