Stereolab: Les Yper Sound Off

Posted over 2 years ago
...my Trusteds already know that I loves me some Stereolab and I've already confessed an addiction to Laetitia Sadier's vox and trombone playing-- lookit all those widgets in the sidebar-- whatever's clever, yo...these guys just got a great wide-reaching sound and body of work that it's hard to believe they aren't more widely known or listened to in the States (once you get outside of LA and NY) that's a shame-- their sensibilities remind me of a sonic Jackson Pollack piece (hence the Pollack painting featured on the cover of Ornette Coleman's Free Jazz LP above)...Pencils down: peep Stereolab performing "Les Yper Sound" from their LP Emperor Tomato Ketchup on the TV show Jool in Holland...dude, she's playing a Moog...well!
