Last week I was talking with this European journalist during that School for Scoundrels press thing and she told me that Billy Bob Thornton had a band and (gasp) was actually quite good -- she'd seen him play "so I asked him what was up":http://chronicridicule.blogspot.com/2006/09/billy-bob-thornton-school-for.html during the rounds...because he never plays in LA (at least I haven't seen a performance listed in the LA Weekly yet)...he called his sound "Steve Earle-ish"...I only heard a couple of cuts, myself...
