While some of the beats leave a little more to be desired - most apparent on the passable "The Writz" - the MC more than makes up for his sonic gaffes with the funky "Up" which puts a new spin on a Sly Stone snippet. When played from coast to coast the rock 'em-sock 'em barrage of super-cala-fragilistic-expi-aladocious word play can give the attention span a workout but one man's cookie is another man's cake. Besides, anybody coherently slicing "X Clan":http://www.thestore24.com/Music/Album.aspx?p_id=P+++140096&a_id=R++++28409&PersonID=P%20%20%20140096&prodid=FBW444019.2&si=rhino twists into their mix can't be all bad.
