I know I just posted something, but I have another thing to MOG about.

I'm giving my cousin a mixed CD (and other stuff) for her graduation. I want the CD to be sort of a local flavor so I've done some research about the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill music scene and have found some pretty cool stuff.

Thus far my two favorite finds are The Future Kings of Nowhere (who I may have MOGed about before... I've known about them for a while) and The Rosebuds.

Both pretty sweet... The Future Kings of Nowhere are acoustic/indie... I don't know- I'm not very good assigning labels to things. They're good and that's all that matters. The Rosebuds are great too, I can help but brighten anytime I hear one of their songs. I think they're a bit more well known that Future Kings of Nowhere... I think I read that one of their songs was on TV somewhere... maybe... I might be making all this up...

Right. The point is. Listen. It's good.

this is quite nice. i've always been intrigued by the NC scene, after i had a friend who lived there for a while and then had to move away. he was bummed out big time.
