Chronicles

Posted over 5 years ago
I have recently finished the book "Chronicles, Volume One". This is a biography and auto biography by Bob Dylan. I'm an avid Bob fan and once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. Being from Minnesota along with Bob, I felt I could relate to many of his memories of a young boy and his family. Dylan tells many accounts of recording sessions and even the whole record of Oh Mercy. I really enjoy the additional lyrics that were cut from some of the songs. Unlike the recent "No direction home" documentary, Dylan doesn't tell much about his life touring during the sixties. Instead, he talks of family life and trying to escape from the media to concentrate on his personal life. Bob Dylan's stories and recollections are passionate and believable and if anyone reading this is a fan, don't be shy to read "Chronicles" and I can't wait for volume two to come out.

  1. Spencer Owen says I'm intrigued enough with Dylan to want to read this book. I suppose now's as good a time as any.
