WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Old Music, New?

Posted over 3 years ago
Well, I finally found something with out searching...A new band! The Tennesse group Old Crow Medicine Show has got me really excited. This is a folk/bluegrass band that really knows how to play. I'm not to sure on the details of the band, but there is plenty of info on their site "CrowMedicine":http://crowmedine.com. I have only purchased and listened to the cd entitled O.C.M.S. but it is a killer! Their harmonic voices mesh really well together along with the harmonica, acoustic guitars, banjo, guit-jo, violin, and stand-up bass. My favorite songs have to be the first and last on the album. The first is "Tell it to Me" a traditional song redone by the boys. The last song is a Bob Dylan cover of "Wagon Wheel". If you listen to this album and don't like either of the songs shame to thee!

  2. Diapason Normal says Wagaon Wheel was based on a bootleg Ketch Secor heard of Bob Dylan teaching someone the bassline for the chorus for a film. The rest of the lyrics are original. They are amazing.
