Gettin Our Kicks

Posted about 5 years ago
Don't know how we finagled our way into a studio.....we're so broke we can't afford to pay attention. A take on an ol' classic. M-46 runs left to right through the mitten, hillbilly central. Check it out. We're sittin' proud as peacocks with two tails.

  3. fairportfan says Much more - that was just a side-project. His version of the old union song Which Side Are You On, reworked to meet recent British conditions is at least as biting as the original, and Waiting for the Great Leap Forward has a few things to say about political musicians and a few other things. I think my favourite version of (Get Your Kicks on) *Route 66* would have to be the one i'm sure i remember - a Christmas party at Ramparts Medical Center on the old *Emergency!* program, with Dr Joe Early playing it on the piano. If you don't remember, Joe Early was played by a fellow named Bobby Troupe. (Or however he spelt it.) And of course, his wife played the Head Nurse...

  5. Paul Busch says Ahh M-46...never been on it that I can reckon, but I did have some rellies who worked for Ford in Dearborn in the '70's so maybe I traversed while we were out that way from Long Island... Nice picking dudes...and any cover of 66 deserves a tip of da hat! Hat tipped! Got to go....there is a kangaroo in my kitchen..just came of the M3! Peace Paul
