Vocalist Jimmy Urine has described his musical group as a "hexagon" amongst "square pegs" during an "interview":http://suicidegirls.com/interviews/Another+Mindless+Rip+Off%3A+A+Conversation+With+Little+Jimmy+Urine/. Accurately put, I believe. MSI is just about the most erratic, spontaneous, irreverant, politically-incorrect group one will ever find. They have quite a cult following. At one point, they referred to themselves as "Industrial Jungle Pussy Punk." Regardless of that odd label, their style is unrestrained. For example, they rattle off racial profanities in their songs rather casually. In fact, they will do just about anything so long as it is unexpected, including set themselves on fire. People go to their shows dressed as bananas. Other people go to their shows with radically spiked hair in imitation of Mr. Urine himself. Some people even lose their hair at MSI shows...In about two weeks, MSI will be releasing their upcoming full-length called "IF." 15 songs, unless you buy the UK version with 6 bonus songs. One song, "Mastermind," has been streaming on their myspace profile for quite some time. For whatever reason, I have discovered that track 15 from their upcoming album, Mark David Chapman, is in my itunes library... I don't have a clue where it came from, but its creation date is over a year old. Must be a demo? Take a listen to it. My favorite part is towards the end when Reginald releases the hound (quintessential example of the scatter-brained musical transitions of Mindless Self indulgence).PS. I freakin' love this group (they aren't a band, which Jimmy explains in the above linked interview). Here watch this video interview from Blender.com:
