Check out this bouncy pop duo from England: The Ting Tings.
I first heard them via their song "That's Not My Name." It's odd though, because I have a deja-vu feeling when listening, but am unable to pick out where I might have heard the song before. Is this song a cover? If someone knows do tell.
Regardless, this is definitely one of those songs with that irresistable, catchy beat. I would suspect that one would have to put forth undue effort in order to dislike it.

Innerpartysystem is your Outerdancingsolution.
They are catchy. They are dancy. They are fun. They are up-and-coming. They could be very addicting for all of you electronica lovers. Currently they have released one EP, entitled The Download EP, and are in the process of finishing up their full-length debut, which will hit somewhere in the June/July part of the summer.

Myself, I really dig their EP track, "Don't Stop." Probably the most unoriginal electronica-dance title ever, but that does not really matter once you start pumping the music beneath the name. The listener is initially confronted with a slow, sweeping, ambient backdrop which soon escalates into a cluster of synth-jabs. Once the vocals start, the dancing urge kicks in. As you listen, if you are not in a position to dance, at least to a little kig inside of your head... or with your fingers... or whatever works. If you go out and get the EP, the Lover's Dancing remix at the end of it is also quite a jam. Actually, the whole EP is quite jam, but those two are my favorites. If you slip on over to their myspace page you will find a listing of stores carrying the EP's physical copy. Maybe there is one near you? If not, there is iTunes.

Oh, and a plus. They are playing Lollapalooza for all of you festival-goers. I'll be there. Dancing. You should be too.
I'm interested to find out what their full-length will sound like. If it is all as catchy and well-put together as "Don't Stop" we can all expect great things from these guys. Let's hope the major label backing them (Island/Def Jam) spends more time encouraging their creative genious rather than trying for a couple fleeting chart-toppers.

I am definitely digging this! Another band to add to the list...
Hey I just discovered your blog when looking for other InnerPartySystem fans. did you see this new video of theirs?: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ne66OLA7gK4
I found out about it cos i follow them on twitter.com/innerparty

Vocalist Jimmy Urine has described his musical group as a "hexagon" amongst "square pegs" during an interview. Accurately put, I believe. MSI is just about the most erratic, spontaneous, irreverant, politically-incorrect group one will ever find. They have quite a cult following. At one point, they referred to themselves as "Industrial Jungle Pussy Punk." Regardless of that odd label, their style is unrestrained. For example, they rattle off racial profanities in their songs rather casually. In fact, they will do just about anything so long as it is unexpected, including set themselves on fire. People go to their shows dressed as bananas. Other people go to their shows with radically spiked hair in imitation of Mr. Urine himself. Some people even lose their hair at MSI shows...

In about two weeks, MSI will be releasing their upcoming full-length called "IF." 15 songs, unless you buy the UK version with 6 bonus songs. One song, "Mastermind," has been streaming on their myspace profile for quite some time.
For whatever reason, I have discovered that track 15 from their upcoming album, Mark David Chapman, is in my itunes library... I don't have a clue where it came from, but its creation date is over a year old. Must be a demo? Take a listen to it. My favorite part is towards the end when Reginald releases the hound (quintessential example of the scatter-brained musical transitions of Mindless Self indulgence).
PS. I freakin' love this group (they aren't a band, which Jimmy explains in the above linked interview).

i think i recently read somewhere on mog that their songs have been in tv shows, of the teenybopper variety..which is kind of sad but expected i guess. it's a great song!
i've been obsessed with this song for weeks now lol. every time it comes on the radio (which is a lot) i can't resist dancing and singing along. don't think it's a cover, i know what you mean about it sounding familiar though.
So simple and yet so infectious.... It's their own song, but that's all I know :)
