Ratatat / The Faint show

Posted about 3 years ago
Holy fucking shit! This show was AWESOME. My second time seeing Ratatat live, and they never cease to amaze me. I think that their Berbatis' show was a little stronger, plus the fact that ANY band feels better in a smaller venue. The only downside is that during the entirety of the set there were 2 short lesbians making out on my back....literally. They were using me like a drunk couple uses an alleyway wall. Kept Grabbing my ass too....whatever. I still danced. The show sparked a late night where I ran into some old friends, made some new ones. All in all a good show and a great night.

  1. supertopsecret says I just didn't feel the same way about their show. I don't like how they don't tour with a band of any sort. I think it would make the on stage presence a lot better. Don't get me wrong, they rocked the house and Wildcat, like always got my booty shaking, but weren't you bothered by the moments the guitarist wasn't doing anything but letting the samples play. Maybe they were tired when I saw them because they didn't deliver a lot of on stage energy. I liked that they tour with a keyboardist though. Perhaps theyw ere doing more than my eye caught.

  2. Colin Sheridan says The Keyboardist is awesome. I do see what you are saying…I know some people have asked the guitarist before why they don’t have other musicians on stage to do the other parts, and his reply was that they would have to have 15 guitar players on some songs…It would be cool to see a fully live performance, but the logistics of moving that many people and their equipment would be insane. I think they more than make up for lack of stage action with their video projections as well… I think the addition of maybe a few more people could be really cool. There’s so many harmonized parts and call and response parts that they could do something cool with. Maybe add 1 more guitar player… Also, I’m a bass player, and there’s not many cooler guys to watch play than E*Vax, so I always have fun.
