Posted over 4 years ago
i have another mystery i need someone to help me solve. i ran across this artwork on the sigur ros website and i desperately want to know what it says but...i am just not sure what it could mean. is this jonsi's made-up language? is it icelandic? does it have to do with a certain song? was it on an album? does anyone have any insight into this? i'll buy the winner a beer!:)

  4. laura27 says I was overwhelmed with curiosity and typed it into an online translator... It returned with "There best whom Supreme Being hast create is new day" I'm guessing that means something along the lines of 'The best that the Supreme Being has created is the new day'. Or maybe I'm terribly wrong. Interesting though. I don't think Jónsi's made-up language has actual written words so I'm assuming it is Icelandic.

  5. Sam The Artist says his made up language "hopelandic" or somethin like that is just icelandic jibberish. this is icelandic. laura is pretty much right, it means "the best thing that god has created is a new day" and is the last sentence on 'viorar vel til loftarasa'
