CLOUD CULT WAS FUCKING FANTASTIC (even though they didn't play Alien Christ. Tear.) It was really nice to see a band that I didn't have expectations and previous knowledge of. It was cool.
Cloud Cult's album "The Meaning of 8" is by far the album you need to go buy right now. They're utterly mindblowing. They are my top pick of 07. It will remain that way unless, oh, 07 doesn't end? I can't foresee anything bumping it out. Andy recommended them to me, and really it was the best thing that's happened to me in a long time. So good. Go see them live, it's such an experience. I just found out about them after a friend told me last April that he'd already found his top album of 2007. And trusting his taste I went out and got it. And I was blown away..... and then had to go out and get the entire back catalog, which is pretty lengthy. They're also one of the best live shows I have ever seen.
