I know that the ultimate Mack, Troy Powers, knows where this song was sampled. Two massive hip hop hits we're powered by this midnight groover, that was produced by Roy Ayers for his Uno Melodic label. This record is-oh my gosh-from 1980. That seems so "new" to me, but I guess that's my problem. No Funk here, just a little sumthin'-sumthin' to ease into the weekend. Enjoy.

Great cut Cody. Am I dreaming or did Robert Palmer speed this up a bit and make it into "Every Kind of People"?

That's smoooove. Troy may be King of Samples, but you are definitely Owner of the Archive. Maybe your new business is licensing samples from your vast collection.

@seo tool-I don't think so on the Robert Palmer. I can't A/B 'em cause I don't have RP,though, I think Every Kind predates Sylvia..maybe Roy Ayers appropriated?
@Jonh-Yeah..sampling consultant..I like the sound of that.
@jshua-Get Money is on the money! and Naughty by Nature's Hip Hop Hooray.

LOL...Okay, so I'm late on this one, but I was just listening to "Get Money" at the gym on Saturday. Didn't know "Hip Hop Hooray" sampled this one too.

It almost seems a shame to sing "My niggaz, get money. My bitches, get money." over this tune.
