Vernon Burch Be patient and you will hear the slide whistle break about 2 and 1/2 minutes in. Best of all it will remind you of a ubiquitous '90's dance groove, that sampled it to great effect.
I've culled Vernon's Funky Friday Award winning tune and two other honoree's (Best Pat Boone vocal on a breakbeat track and song that uses the word sex the most)from Skye presents The Breaks, one of the many quality breakbeat collections released by the Harmless label. All the collections sound great, cover the most important breaks, and provide excellent backround info on the songs and artists. I believe the series is out of print, but it is definitely worth searching out.

Best Use of a Pat Boone Vocal on a Breakbeat Track
The soundtrack to the 1970 cautionary fable "The Cross and the Switchblade" is credited to Ralph Carmichael, but the spoken vocals are live and direct from a very gangsta (for him) Pat Boone. Despite that drawback, though, there are some furious drums on the track.

Song That Uses the Word Sex the Most
Sex is mentioned 84 times in 3:43,not too shabby, and a rockin' little number as well.

On my way to the gym this morning I did an unscientific count, margin of error +/-5, I'd say.
