Yes, I have been away. Vacations to Vermont and Israel, plus the ongoing job search have really cut down on my MOGlife, but I'm coming back. None of my notifications work and my recently playeds aren't tracking, so I'm not gonna be a good Mogger...but I will MOG! Missed youse.
The drums of a certain R&B song provide the rhythm of this EPMD track and along with the "TRAMP" vocal have been sampled into more than 50 hip hop songs.
I always had a soft spot for EPMD 'cause Erik and Parrish went to college in my hometown of New Haven,CT, where they undoubtedly found out that the best pizza in the world was now just a few miles away from the Southern Connecticut State University.
I'm not here to argue about pizza though. The question is, do you know the sampled song and artist? Check out Headbanger here and the drum loop isolated in comments.
