Working out of Henry Stone's TK Records in Miami, husband and wife, George and Gwen McCrae recorded their share of hits (as solo artists). George had the mega smash Rock Your Baby in '74, but for my money Gwen is the funkier of the 2. As evidence here's the often sampled "90% of Me Is You". Additional info: TK records was run Motown stable style with writers and producers fighting to push their songs and get 'em waxed. In this case Gwen was working with Clarence "Blowfly" Reid and George was dealing with H.W, Casey (who doubled as the lead singer of KC and the Sunshine Band).
