Nice horn playing from Señor Bravo's oufit, including welcome use of baritone sax, kept it down to 2-1 at half time. One goal each in second half so Nigeria shade it 3-2

My votes for Nigeria, but Mexico's not bad. Mexico turned that style into Santana on these tunes.
Mexico reminds me of Santana when they were going through that Jazz Fusion stage back in the 70's. Santana put out some great music around that time.

Oh no, it appears I will have to bring the match to a tie. It was close, but for my taste:

I liked the Old School Mexican funk more, both Joe Bravo and Grupo Oz equally.

Excellent groove play all around. I dug the sax solo on the Grupo Oz track.

After full time the match is a draw...we now go to extra time til 6 PM (6.5 hours from now)..If we still don't have a winner by 6PM, then we'll have a penalty shoot out.

TurdMexico!! :)Ok, so Nigeria is out..unbelievable upset really.Nigeria was holding on to Fela Kuti and sons on the bench with aspirations of going all the way, but it is moot now....WOW!
I'm extremely upset with the result. DAMN! I bet the referee was bought with a couple of nachos :P
The saddest part of all this, is that Mexico may not have anything left in the tank..but this is the Cup, and that's why we don't just play the games on paper..To me, this is the biggest upset of the tournament.
