Track:I'll Bet You (1)
Times have changed a bit. It's hard to imagine a boy or girl band in 2008 doing this song, but in 1970 psych was in. Goes a long way in showing how close Motown (Norman Whitfield in particular) was watching the Detroit scene, and how connected George Clinton was to the normally in house Hitsville crew.

Funkadelic - I'll Bet You
Hey, this is a total surprise. They pull it off nicely, no? They certainly brought this tune to a whole new audience.
Though it lacks the underlying edge of danger of the Funkadelic version, it has a grit I'd have never associated with the Jackson 5.
Definitely comes harder than the Jackson 5 I'm used to hearing, a pleasure tis!
Woah great track -thanks for posting
Most defintely passable! I believe Dennis Coffey would've been on guitar, so that's a plus, too.
George Clinton wrote for MJ as recently as 1995 with the trrack Mathematics that ended up on his own TAPOFOM cd. There is an unreleased version of it somewhere in Japan from what I am told.
Whitfield often showed up at Funkadelic gigs around that area with tape recorder in tow.
Always there with the inside dope..thanks,B. Road. pretty sweet mini-bikes,HUh?
This was my ride in the early 70's
I'd like to think that, in some small way, this was inspired by my posting of the original a few months back.
Nice track, but I still prefer the original.
I prefer the original too! I always found it weird that the Jackson's cut this tune, though, and that it was worthy of posting too.
I'm sure the vibes of your post flowed directly to this one Lamicus.
oh i love this too too much!! strong funk bold soul you breakin ma neck with this one.. xmas came early!
If you are naughty or nice, I can get you a Chopper too.
Lol!
Cody that ride doesn't surprise me at all. Living on a farm in the 70's my bike was this pre war ear Schwinn. I don't think it had original parts on it but it got to where I needed to go. As for the style, it was non existent.
This track is all right. Funkadelic gets my vote though.
