Not meant to be a complete list..just a few that caught my eye

Funki Porcini- On (Downtempo-Ninja tune)- Delivers the Ninja aesthetic

Cherryholmes-Cherryhomes4:Common Threads (female/male vox, acoustic,poppy country-Skaggs Family Records)-too slick for me

Bibi Tanga - Dunya (Globe hopping afro-electronic w/ male rapped/sung vox- InGroove/Fontana)- Worth a look

Beres Hammond-Just A Man (reggae crooner-VP Records)-as per usual for Beres,smooth

Elk City - House Of Tongues (female vox rock-Friendly Fire Records)- not too shabby

Forgiven Rival - This Is War (emo)- not my cup o' tea

The Futureheads-The Chaos (British indie rawk)- I could listen again

The Melvins - The Bride Screamed Murder (ipecac)- MASSIVE

Paul Weller - Wake Up The Nation (yep roc)- Out of the box, it's a cracker

not when you point out new nuggets of discovery! It's just, you know, I'm back at the old grindstone and my flippant attitude may spill over sometimes....sorry...

No probs,Mr. Free. As you can tell by my usual ouevre, NR's aren't usually any biz of mine. Today though, i decided to go off a list of NR's and see if they were in the system...the hit rate was super high.I was impressed with that. It prolly won't become a habit..you know me, I wait twenty years to decide if I like things:)

    ha! heard that!
I have noticed that when I'm looking for new stuff, the hit rate is really high. We'll prolly never be privy to it, but I'd be real interested to see all the inner-workings that's goin' on at MOG to make this happen - and, more importantly, is the business model spinning a profit? ...back to your jazz samples now...

good Q...I'm guessing MOg signs with aggregators that supply the data..it's like the reverse of old music selling where the distro would try to explain why a retailer needs something..Now the distro wants to get the streams to the streamer..I guess. I dunno for real tho.

I'm no rocket surgeon or a programmer, but there must be some way to tag an album on a weekly or daily basis when it is added into the system and then make some sort of newly added list.

I would also like to be able to fill out a request form for artists and albums that Mog doesn't have in the system.

Cody is there a post with a wish list?
