Itunes Killed the album. Apple is Satan, and no, there computers are not better than Windows based, get over it already.

Golden Tickets = 200 not 5, at least the ones that count

Military Bases: not enough, we need to be in all countries, that way I can see the world without ever spending a $ getting there on my own.(USAF)

% of Minorities/Crime/Economics blah blah blah... everyone has a little voice, it really is that simple, ya just have to shut up and listen to it. Right and Wrong, there is no other way.

If you have almost 15K post, then either you work here, or very much need to get a hobby that includes sunshine and fresh air. Or your Greek, and you don't tell Greek's what to do...... ever..... so Post on Anna!

Well, of "theses", I make it out to be a mispelling of "these", I also attribute it to a strong desire shared by me, for MOG to incorporate an Edit function for post.

I also am hungry........ if anybody cares.

Glad to see someone else is giving him press here on MOG. I can't do it all by myself.

I got 15 of those albums and I thought I was a fan.

Nice stat blurb. Freakin Bronx! No way.

    Apologies to Harper's..

They are just some numbers I've seen recently..I guess I must be in a bad mood, but I'm OK, thanks, Laf. No intent really DMDM..just filler between the MOG stats. I like numbers though.

I agree about right and wrong as long as it is applied across the board..I guess if you really drill down on incarceration, it is the lower classes (regardless of race) that get put away the most..(don't have a citation for that though)

    Lightnin' Rod-Hustlers Convention (re:jail time)

It had cost me 12 years of my life to realize

What a nickel and dime hustler I had been

While the real hustlers are rippin' off billions

    From the unsuspecting millions

Who are programmed to think they can win

I wish someone would just give me my music dots back so I could shut up:)

I'm more impressed by the other side of the record sales equation: that bands like the Shins, Arcade Fire, and Modest Mouse can be in the top 5, even if it's by default.

It is good...but why are those bands still called indie in that case?

    Permalink posted 10/14/2009
  27. Cody B says

I always thought indie was a descriptor of the label that released the record..not of the sound of the music. I'm so far out o' the business that I don't know who's indie and who isn't but lets see..Shins 2007 record was on Sub Pop (indie), Arcade Fire's 2007 record was on Merge (indie), The mouse is signed to Epic (not-indie). Mouse started indie though..
