Jeff Finlin - this century's Leon Russell?

Posted over 3 years ago
If you're a fan of Leon Russell's BEST work of the seventies, you're likely to really enjoy this record from Jeff Finlin -- recorded at Notably Fine Audio in Denver, by Colin Bricker, "Alive & Retrospective" includes performances from such illustrious Coloradoans as Sally Van Meter (lap steel), and Eric Moon (organ, piano). Jeff's vocal tones and writing style don't so much mimick Russell's as they do create a sense that Jeff is related musically to one of America's most well respected songcrafters of the sixties/seventies Muscle Shoals / Shelter People era of music.
