I cannot get enough of "Rest My Chemistry," off Our Love To Admire, the latest dose from NYC's dazzling depressants, Interpol. I completely forgive (and love) the fact that the guitar riff is ripped off from the Pixies "Where Is My Mind?" The song just flat out rocks. It serves as the perfect soundtrack when repenting your weekend sins on a Sunday morning. That's pretty much been my relationship with Interpol since Turn On the Bright Lights, they make me smile when thinking about shitty relationships, questionable hook ups, and other poor decisions I've made. Somehow, despite curbing a lot of their hard-partying 'antics' at this stage of their career, Paul Banks and Co. still have an abundance of filthy stories about bars, girls, and substances. While Our Love to Admire is nowhere near as good as their first two efforts, it sounds like a tranistional album that leaves me begging for the next one. Well done guys. Looking forward to the MSG show in Septemeber!
