The 7th Jammy Awards are two days away and hippies everywhere are keeping their fingers crossed that Phish will reunite at this years award show, where they will also be presented with a special Lifetime Achievement Award. But Phisheads have something else to look forward to. The defunct band's frontman Trey Anastasio will release a live solo album, titled Original Boardwalk Style on June 10th.

Recorded at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ (thus explaining the title and how Anastasio likes his freedom fries) on December 30th and 31st of 2006 with his other band the Undectet, all proceeds from the album will benefit the Seven Below Arts Initiative, established to foster artistic development and support arts education in the state of Vermont. A double-gatefold LP of the album will also be available for that heady after hours "I'm-rolling-my-face-off" scene.

The track listings for Original Boardwalk Style are as follows:

CD/Digital configurations: 1. Drifting 2. Plasma 3. Alive Again 4. Mud City 5. Simple Twist Up Dave 6. Tuesday 7. Money Love and Change 8. Mr. Completely

Bonus track (digital only): First Tube

Vinyl configuration: Side A 1. Drifting 2. Plasma

Side B 1. Shine 2. Alive Again 3. Mud City

Side C 1. Simple Twist Up Dave 2. Tuesday

Side D 1. Money, Love and Change 2. Mr. Completely

The Undectet, for all of you out there wondering is Tony Hall (bass, vocals), Ray Paczkowski (keyboards), Jeff Sipe (drums), Christina Durfee (vocals, synthesizer), Jennifer Hartswick (vocals, trumpet), Peter Apfelbaum (saxophone, flute), Russell Remington (saxophone, flute), Jeff Cressman (trombone), Dave Grippo (saxophone) and Cyro Baptista (percussion).

I'm guessing more Phisheads are putting their money on a reunion this week, not another live album from Anastasio they probably already have a bootleg of. Do you think Phish will ever reunite?

I hope so. I never really liked the Dead, but I LOVED a few of the Phish albums. They're a little less country and little more jazz. +1.
